The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed on a multi-year extension with coach Nick Sirianni, the team announced Monday. The news brings a conclusion to the offseason negotiation between the organization and the head coach who helped secure the franchise’s second Super Bowl championship.
Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie signaled the move just over a month ago at the NFL’s annual meetings by saying with little subtlety, “I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough that Nick will be our coach going forward, and he’s done an outstanding job.”

Sirianni, 43, first joined the Eagles in 2021 under a five-year contract that was set to expire after the upcoming season. A team that spiraled into dysfunction after its Super Bowl LII victory restored its stability under Sirianni and is now enjoying its golden era. The Eagles made the playoffs in each of Sirianni’s four seasons, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII and then avenging themselves in a rematch in Super Bowl LIX with one of the largest margins of victory in the title game’s history.
Lurie maintained confidence in Sirianni after a promising 2023 season collapsed. Lurie praised Sirianni’s proactivity in identifying and fixing mistakes and entrusted Sirianni with yet another offseason in which he overhauled his coaching staff. Sirianni’s hiring of offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio yielded revamped systems that produced six All-Pro selections last season. Sirianni’s .706 win percentage is the highest of any head coach in Eagles history.

“Nick has embodied everything we were looking for in a head coach since we hired him four years ago,” Lurie said in a statement. “His authentic style of leadership, football intelligence, passion for the game, and growth mindset have helped to bring out the best in our team. I am excited for what the future holds for the Philadelphia Eagles.”
