Flavio Prado não mostrou otimismo com os clubes brasileiros no Mundial. Convicto de que existe um “abismo” em relação aos europeus, o profissional da Jovem Pan prevê Flamengo, Botafogo e Fluminense, logo de cara, sendo eliminados na primeira fase. Neste cenário, apenas o Palmeiras, em segundo lugar no Grupo A, motivou uma projeção positiva.
“Esse Campeonato Mundial está gerando uma expectativa, mas não sei por quê. Vai ser um baita bate e volta para os brasileiros. Pode recomeçar o Brasileirão em 15 dias. O máximo que pode acontecer é, por uma chave mais fácil, ser um Marrocos.”, disse Flavio Prado, no programa Bate-Pronto.
“Na minha cabeça, o único que eu acho (que passa) é o Palmeiras, em segundo. O resto é bate e volta.”, acrescentou.

Caso o América-MEX fique com a vaga do León, Flavio Prado não tem dúvidas do revés do Flamengo contra os mexicanos. Além disso, não houve uma garantia de que o time carioca vai vencer o Espérance, da Tunísia, avaliado como o concorrente mais fraco do grupo.
“O América-MEX é ali (parelho). Vai perder do América-MEX. Se jogar com o América-MEX, é pau! Esse Espérance é jogo duro também. Contra o Chelsea é brincadeira. Se fosse o Crystal Palace era a mesma coisa.”, opinou.
Equilíbrio em Palmeiras x Porto?
Após Vampeta indicar um embate parelho, Flavio Prado mostrou desconfiança ao abordar Palmeiras x Porto. Embora o Campeonato Português não tenha sido valorizado, o time alviverde não é visto ocupando o posto de favorito.
“Eu não sei se vai ser (equilibrado). O Porto é time de Champions League, eu tenho minhas dúvidas. Mas o Campeonato Português é ruim… eu não tenho certeza que o Palmeiras ganhe. Eu diria que é 60%/40% para o Porto. É um jogo contra (um time) de liga fraca.”, opinou.
