„Jsem vděčný za to, že jsem zpátky a že můžu opět hrát za tento klub. Myslím si, že mám Dynamu co dát,“ řekl Košťálek, který má za sebou tři sezony v pardubickém dresu a dvakrát byl nejproduktivnějším obráncem mužstva. S týmem získal v extralize stříbro a bronz.
Za Vítkovice v 51 zápasech základní části nasbíral čtyři góly a 15 asistencí. V pěti utkáních předkola play off přidal jednu přihrávku. Poté bojoval v přípravě národního týmu o účast na mistrovství světa, ale na poslední chvíli i z osobních důvodů z nominace vypadl.
„Honza Košťálek se vrací do Dynama na základě platné smlouvy, kterou s Pardubicemi uzavřel. Věříme, že se mu u nás bude znovu dařit a předvede, že je pro tým platným hráčem,“ uvedl sportovní ředitel pardubického klubu Petr Sýkora.
V extralize nastupoval Košťálek i za mateřskou Spartu. V 389 zápasech zaznamenal účastník předloňského mistrovství světa 62 branek a 145 asistencí.
