From the moment Arch Manning joined the team, many predicted that Quinn Ewers would eventually relinquish his leadership role.
After two years, the transition finally occurred without any friction between the two. Despite Manning‘s prominence, Ewers said their friendship remains intact.

“Here’s Quinn Ewers, who’s entering his third year and knows the system inside and out. Now it’s about managing expectations. It’s about the nuances of the system now. Arch just got here and is trying to learn the fundamentals of the offense,” Sarkisian said.
“And a lot of times I’m intentionally harder on them to bring them closer, thinking that they only have each other.”
The reality is that their plan is effective and has paid off. They both have a healthy competitive rivalry and seek the best for the Texas Longhorns because that is the goal they share. With a couple of months to go, it looks like they are ready to resume activities and compete for the championship.
