Abel Braga fez um balanço de sua carreira em entrevista para o ge.globo. Ao responder um bate-pronto sobre a trajetória que teve no futebol, o técnico aposentado escolheu os torcedores que mais fazem a diferença dentro de campo.
O atualmente diretor técnico sem clube desde quando deixou o Vasco em 2023 não teve dúvida ao escolher a torcida do Corinthians como a mais complicada de enfrentar.
“[Jogar] Contra é o Corinthians. Esquece. É do primeiro ao último minuto. Aquilo lá contra é a pior”, pontuou Abelão, em exaltação à Fiel.
D’Alessandro fica de fora em seleção particular de Abel Braga
Ao ser desafiado a montar uma seleção dos melhores jogadores que treinou, Abel Braga acabou preterindo D’Alessandro em seu time, montado no 4-3-3.
Os atletas escolhidos por Abelão foram os seguintes: Taffarel, Josimar, Gamarra, Fabiano Eller e Carlinhos; Deco, Thiago Neves e Alex; Rafael Sobis, Fernandão e Fred.
Ao mesmo tempo, Abel Braga escolheu Fernandão como o maior líder de vestiário que teve, além de Alexandre Pato ser o melhor jogador que revelou. Ambos foram campeões do Mundial de Clubes da Fifa pelo Internacional em 2006.

Ao ser questionado sobre o time mais difícil que encarou, Abel Braga não teve dúvidas ao mencionar as equipes dirigidas por Joel Santana. “Qualquer time do Joel”, resumiu.
Por fim, Abelão foi sincero com os torcedores colorados ao apontar o Fluminense de 2012 como o melhor time que dirigiu na carreira, superando o histórico Internacional de 2006. O Tricolor das Laranjeiras foi campeão do Brasileirão Série A naquela temporada.
“Deco pegava uma bola, pifava o Wellington Nem, acabou. Ou no Sobis ou no Thiago Neves. E o cara botou do lado do campo, cruzava e o Fred guardava”, recordou, em entrevista para a Rádio Gaúcha na semana passada
