O atacante Ênio, do Juventude, teve seu celular e o de sua esposa apreendidos em operação do Ministério Público do Rio Grande do Sul nesta terça-feira.
O Grupo de Atuação Especial de Combate ao Crime Organizado do MPRS realizou operação para cumprir mandados de busca casa do jogador e no estádio Alfredo Jaconi, em seu armário pessoal.
Em nota ao blog, o jogador se manifestou sobre o caso.
“O atleta Sebastião Ênio Santos de Almeida segue à disposição das autoridades como um dos principais interessados no total esclarecimento do caso. Desde que o tema tornou-se público, Ênio mantém sua postura de contribuir efetivamente para que a verdade seja oficializada e de conhecimento geral. O único objetivo do atleta sempre foi e segue sendo desempenhar a sua profissão de forma digna, leal e honesta”, afirmou.
A operação atende a um pedido da CBF para obter provas sobre possível manipulação em apostas no jogo entre Juventude e Fortaleza, no dia 10 deste mês. A entidade recebeu um alerta de casas de apostas após terem sido registradas movimentações acima do normal para que Ênio recebesse um cartão amarelo na partida. O atacante levou a punição aos 38 minutos do primeiro tempo.
Em abril, o jogador de 24 anos já havia levantado suspeitas por um cartão amarelo recebido em partida contra o Vitória, na primeira rodada do Brasileirão. As bets também relataram à CBF um alto fluxo de apostas na advertência ao atacante. Na ocasião, Ênio se pronunciou por meio de suas redes sociais, garantindo que não fez parte de nenhum esquema e que tomaria as medidas judiciais cabíveis para comprovar sua inocência. Ele foi afastado pelo Juventude na época, mas reintegrado após garantir que a suspeita era inverídica.
