Doppelte Freude beim SC Magdeburg!
Erst die Vertragsverlängerung von Superstar Omar Ingi Magnusson (28) bis 2028 – und dann der wichtige 34:28-Heimsieg gegen die TSV Hannover-Burgdorf. Ein starkes Zeichen für die SCM-Zukunft!
Warum schlägt das Herz des Isländers weiter grün-rot? Magnusson bringt es nach dem Spiel kurz und klar auf den Punkt: „Ich bin hier sehr zufrieden. Wir haben eine sehr gute Mannschaft und das Trainerteam ist fantastisch. Es ist alles fantastisch und ich habe hier alles, was ich möchte.“
Die Unterschrift unter den neuen Vertrag? Noch frisch, wie Trainer Bennet Wiegert (43) verrät: „Die Unterschrift ist wirklich noch nicht so lange darunter. Wir haben es dann geschafft, die Nationalmannschaftspause, auch wenn er mit der Nationalmannschaft in Island unterwegs war, für uns zu nutzen und das endgültige Signing hinzubekommen.“
[–>Er ergänzt: „Ich glaube, wenn man so lange zusammenarbeitet, dann hat man bestimmte Joker in der Hand, wenn man es nicht ganz so dämlich macht. Und ich glaube, dass beide sehr gut wissen, was sie aneinander haben.“
Auch sportlich läuft’s weiter rund. Der SCM dominierte Hannover über weite Strecken, ließ den Gegner aber noch einmal gefährlich nah herankommen. Magnusson: „Es war ein komisches Spiel, fand ich. Viele Fehler und das Spiel war auch langsam. Nicht so viele schnelle Tore außer in den ersten paar Minuten. Wir haben einfach genug gemacht. Es war nicht fantastisch, aber es war genug.“

Matchwinner: Torwart Sergey Hernández (29)! Der Spanier glänzte mit 16 Paraden und traf gleich zweimal selbst. Magnusson lobt: „Für mich ist es keine Überraschung. Natürlich ist er ein fantastischer Torwart, einer der Besten. Ich habe auch ein Problem mit ihm im Training.“
Die Titel in Liga und Champions League? Absolut machbar – wenn der Fokus stimmt. Magnusson weiß, worauf es ankommt: „Natürlich. Wir müssen unsere Spiele gewinnen. Das ist unser Fokus. Und unser Fokus bleibt da.“

Disciplína nás srazila a hodně ovlivnila zápas. Samozřejmě to bylo i pár kontroverzních rozhodnutí. Už po třetím utkání jsem říkal, jak se mi nelíbí vzájemná vyloučení, když jde jen o jeden jasný faul.Proti Dánům byl totiž Martin Nečas vyloučen za filmování, ale co tam dneska na začátku třetí třetiny předvedl Logan Cooley?
