O jornalista acredita que Filipe Luís, embora promissor, ainda não esteja em auge na função. O treinador do Flamengo chegou ao comando da Gávea como uma alternativa emergencial no final de 2024. No entanto, os seus resultados na Copa do Brasil e em duelos decisivos fizeram com que Filipe Luís ganhasse a vaga no comando do Rubro-Negro e fosse alvo de grandes elogios.
Apesar do destaque e do bom trabalho, Massini acredita que o treinador ainda não está no auge do seu futebol. O jornalista disse: “Não pode o Flamengo ser refém de coisa que ele não é hoje, que é o Flamengo de Jorge Jesus daquele curto pedaço da história”.
Massini explicou: “É uma percepção que eu tenho de Filipe Luís que ainda não demonstrou preparo total para comandar um clube desse tamanho. Na minha visão, os argumentos são esses (…) quando ele mesmo fala que perdeu o controle do jogo, eu acho interessante que ele fale isso para a gente entender”.
Por último, o comentarista esportivo garante que há treinadores com capacidade de entender de melhor forma o que acontece nos gramados e não perder o controle do jogo. Para Massini, apesar dos bons resultados iniciais e de duelos vencidos importantes, Filipe Luís ainda estaria em uma curva de crescimento na sua função.
