The Dallas Cowboys are gearing up for a revenge season in 2025 under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer, but they will have one of the most difficult schedules. However, that is not stopping legendary wide receiver Michael Irvin from being optimistic in predicting a winning record of 12-5
Despite Irvin’s optimism during his appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, in the “win-loss game” segment, the former Dallas receiver, who is usually enthusiastic when talking about the Boys, considered that there could be a bump from week 12 to 15, which is no small thing, because it is a crucial moment in the final stretch of the season.
Just in the week before Thanksgiving, the Cowboys will host the Philadelphia Eagles, and then host the Kansas City Chiefs: “We will lose that game” and then visit the Detroit Lions, games that according to Irvin’s forecast will be setbacks, but they will close well and will be able to recover.

According to Michael Irvin‘s prediction, the other two losses the Cowboys will have in the season will be against the Green Bay Packers in Week 4 and against the Washington Commanders in Week 17. He is optimistic that they will start with a win over the Eagles in the 2025 kickoff, and then string together victories against the New York Giants and the Chicago Bears.
“In the first week, Dallas beats Philadelphia,” Irvin said of his confidence that with Schottenheimer the Cowboys will have a good start and added: “Dallas, with their new coach, focuses on the little details, on the little details that bring them down and they win the game.”
