Herning (Od našeho zpravodaje) – Ve čtvrtek mu maďarský soupeř nešťastně vyhodil dolní čelist z kloubu. Jakub Lauko pak v šatně národního týmu prožil tuze bolavé okamžiky, když mu ji speciálním manévrem lékař týmu Antonín Chochola nahazoval zpátky. I z obyčejného popisu jste měli husí kůži a Lauko přiznává: „Byl to nejbolestivější moment.“
Skoro nemohl mluvit i jíst, zvládal jen rozmixovanou stravu, přesto už v pátek nakráčel na trénink s helmou a košíkem a chtěl dál hrát. Trenéři ho pro duel s Kazachstánem raději pošetřili, v pondělí už proti Německu naskočil bez úlev.
„První dvě třetiny to docela šlo. Chodil jsem do soubojů, nijak mě to neomezovalo. Ale ve třetí třetině jsem cítil, že mi prášky moc nepomáhají a ke konci už to nebylo nic moc. Jsem rád, že jsme vyhráli, že Vlady (Vladař) udržel nulu a že jsem mohl pomoct týmu,“ říkal pak tiše, protože stále nemůžu příliš pohybovat pusou.
Přitom na začátku třetí třetiny jeho gól v oslabení na 4:0 definitivně zlomil Němce. Lauko vytěžil zaváhání obránce Moritze Seidera. „Nadáváme, že je led špatný. Viděli jste, že není dobrý, v hale je vedro, nestačí to pořádně zamrznout. Teď nám to pomohlo. Byl jsem ve správný moment na správném místě,“ řekl.
Ani ho moc nelimitovala „juniorská“ mřížka na helmě, protože s ní má nedávné zkušenosti. „Minulý rok jsem dostal bruslí do obličeje, asi měsíc a půl jsem si střihl s mřížkou. Takže jsem na to možná víc zvyklý než jiní, ale s plexi štítkem se samozřejmě hraje lépe.“
A jak to má Lauko aktuálně s jídlem? „Poslední dva dny už jsem se mohl najíst normálně. Předchozí dny to bylo horší, to jsem pusu nemohl moc otevřít. Teď si asi zajdu na polévku a nechám si jídlo nakrájet a namixovat, protože to není nic moc.“
I tak se očekává, že i v úterý bude proti Američanům zase v sestavě.

88. ročník mistrovství světa v hokeji je na programu v termínu od 9. do 25. května 2025. Hostí jej Švédsko a Dánsko, konkrétně města Stockholm a Herning.
