Manchester City midfielder Rodri has been cleared to return to action and could feature in his side’s game against Bournemouth today.
The 28-year-old has not played since tearing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in September against Arsenal.
The reigning Ballon d’Or winner said in November that he was targeting a return to action before the end of the 2024-25 season and returned to training in April.

City face Fulham at Craven Cottage in their final game of the Premier League season before heading to the United States to compete in the Club World Cup next month.
It is yet to be confirmed if Rodri will partake in Spain’s Nations League semi-final against France on June 5.
Man City head coach Pep Guardiola provided an update on Rodri’s condition earlier this month, saying: “The moment the official doctor says Rodri can start to play minutes, after that he will start to play minutes, but the doctors have to tell me.
“It was a difficult injury. It was an injury seven to 11 months, the doctor said. Every day, Rodri is making more sessions but we have to wait so he doesn’t make a step backwards and get injured again, so we have to be careful. Every training session, he feels better, and when the doctor says Rodri is stable and can start to play. After that, he is going to come back.”

City’s game against Bournemouth will also be Kevin De Bruyne’s final home game for the club.
De Bruyne announced in April that he would leave City after 10 years at the Etihad and when asked if he will be competing at the Club World Cup next month with City, the 33-year-old said that no decision has been made on his participation at the tournament, but it is likely that he will not be part of the travelling squad and added that the situation “makes no sense”.
City, whose last game was the 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final last Saturday, are sixth in the Premier League table.
A victory at the Etihad today could see them rise to third in the league and take a commanding hold of a Champions League qualification place ahead of the final gameweek of the season.
