Xavier Worthy was the 28th overall pick of the 2024 draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. Unlike other recent high draft picks, Rashee Rice and Skyy Moore, the Chiefs opted to make Worthy the full-time starter immediately. He played 63% of the Chiefs’ offensive snaps in Week 1 and continued to hover from 50-75% of the snaps over the first 13 weeks of the season.

NFL owners approved a change to onside kick rules at league meetings in Minneapolis on Wednesday.Teams can now declare an onside kick at any point in a game as long as they are trailing, as opposed to only in the fourth quarter. Additionally, onside kicks will be taken from the 34-yard line instead of the 35-yard line, and players on the kicking team will line up 1 yard closer to where the ball can be recovered.AdvertisementThe lineup adjustment could make it easier for teams to recover an onside kick, though the element of surprise is still banned, as part of the league’s dynamic kickoff rules implemented last season. Any proposal needs at least 24 votes from the NFL's owners. The Packers' proposal to ban the "Tush Push" received 22 votes, according to ESPN, which added that the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, New York Jets and Detroit Lions were among the teams that joined the Eagles in voting against the proposal. Commissioner Roger Goodell said this week the league has momentum towards instituting a 16-game international schedule per season, likely within the next five years.
