After falling short in Super Bowl LIX against the Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is more determined than ever to return to glory. In what many speculated could have been his final chapter in the NFL, the 35-year-old All-Pro made his intentions clear, willing to come back stronger.
ESPN’s Pat McAfee has shared a personal message Kelce sent him two weeks after the loss that ended the Chiefs‘ bid for a historic Super Bowl three-peat. It left no doubt that the fire still burns deep.

“Gonna try to get into the best shape I’ve been this offseason and get back to the mountaintop,” Kelce wrote. “Got a real bad taste in my mouth with how I played in that last game and with how I got the guys ready for battle. I can’t go out like that!!!!”
Kelce‘s stats from the 2024 season reflected a noticeable dip in production. He posted just 823 receiving yards, three touchdowns, and 8.5 yards per reception-career lows in every category aside from his rookie year in 2013, when he appeared in only one game.

Despite those numbers, Kelce remains a pillar of Kansas City’s offense and a symbol of postseason excellence, having delivered in countless big-game moments.
Kelce stays focused in Florida as criticism heats up
This offseason, Kelce has traded the Midwest for the sunshine of Boca Raton, Florida, where he’s dialing in on his physical preparation. He’s training out of a rented $20 million mansion located inside the exclusive Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club. The tight end is working with elite trainers Tony Villani of XPE Sports and Andrew Spruill of Johnny O’s gym-part of a personal mission to return in peak form.
According to social media posts by Chamblee High School athletes Brayden Doss and Jazz Lewis, Kelce has been putting in serious work, often joining them for intensive drills. Photos and videos from their sessions, as well as new shots of Kelce after a Miami workout on May 20, show him looking lean and ready.
However, not all the attention has been positive. Some fans on social media took issue with Kelce‘s body hair in the post-workout pictures, prompting backlash from others who defended him.
