Zinho foi incisivo ao cravar o time do Grêmio como limitado no contexto atual do futebol brasileiro. Antes mesmo do Imortal amargar queda para o CSA, em jogo da Copa do Brasil, o tetra já havia ligado o alerta.
Em comentário feito no “Equipe F”, da ESPN, ele disse que nada adianta o Grêmio ter Luiz Felipe Scolari nos bastidores, como coordenador, e Mano Menezes como técnico, se o plantel da equipe não ostentar qualidade suficiente para brigar por protagonismo.
“O time do Grêmio tem suas limitações. Acho uma equipe bem razoável. Tem no comando, pessoas vitoriosas, mas ninguém consegue fazer um time jogar se não tem as peças. Tem que ter jogadores”, avaliou Zinho, dando razão à bronca do torcedor para com a equipe.
“É importante o torcedor apoiar, mas eu entendo o torcedor do Grêmio também. Está desconfiado. O Grêmio ficar fora hoje é um vexame. É dia dos jogadores se fecharem. Tem um elenco melhor e precisa confirmar essa classificação”, complementou o ex-jogador.
Alertado por Zinho, Grêmio cai em casa
Depois de ter sido derrotado de virada no confronto de ida, ocorrido no Rei Pelé, pelo placar de 3 a 2, o Grêmio não conseguiu furar a defensiva do Azulão do Mutange, que segurou o empate sem gols nesta terça-feira, em Porto Alegre.
Além da eliminação precoce e frustrante, o Tricolor deixou de receber R$ 3,63 milhões em cotas pagas pela CBF para o time que avançar às oitavas de final, e se despede do torneio com R$ 5,7 milhões em prêmios.
Sequência negativa e Z4 na Série A
Conforme citado por Zinho, o Grêmio vive situação preocupante no Brasileirão, sem vencer nos últimos cinco compromissos, sendo dois pelo certame nacional, o Imortal ocupa a 17ª posição, abrindo assim a temida zona de rebaixamento, com nove pontos em 27 possíveis.
Depois da amarga queda na Copa do Brasil, o time de Mano Menezes volta a campo no próximo domingo (25), às 11h (de Brasília), quando recebe o Bahia, na Arena, pela 10ª rodada.
