Casagrande vê espaço para Yuri Alberto brigar por uma vaga na seleção. Levando em conta o número de vagas para a Copa de 2026, o ex-jogador sinalizou o estilo do camisa 9 como trunfo na disputa envolvendo os demais atacantes. Neste cenário, além de Pedro, Vitor Roque ou Endrick, o goleador do Corinthians completaria o grupo de centroavantes à disposição de Ancelotti no Mundial.
“A seleção brasileira não joga para o centroavante fazer gol. Historicamente, joga em manobra e com os jogadores participando da movimentação. Em uma Copa do Mundo, em que se leva 23, se eu levar três centroavantes, eu levaria o Yuri Alberto. Sabe por quê? Seria diferente dos outros.”, disse Casão, no UOL News Esporte.
“Se você leva o Pedro, o melhor centroavante que tem no Brasil, Vitor Roque ou Endrick, que são parecidos, e você leva outros menos técnico, mas que é mais brigador. Você fica com três características diferentes e pode usar de acordo com a necessidade do jogo.”, acrescentou.
Atual prioridade da seleção brasileira
Por enquanto, Casagrande não apoia que Yuri Alberto seja convocado para os jogos do Brasil contra Equador e Paraguai. Diante da necessidade imediata de Ancelotti em somar duas vitórias, o comentarista apoia jogadores mais técnicos nas partidas.
“Para dois jogos, eu levaria o Pedro, o Endrick está machucado, e o Vitor Roque. Jogadores com mais qualidade técnica porque vai exigir isso, e a seleção pede isso.”, opinou.
Casagrande faz ressalva sobre Yuri Alberto
Decisivo em Corinthians x Novorizontino, pela Copa do Brasil, Yuri Alberto não é um centroavante que constrói jogadas. Por conta disso, Casagrande lembrou que não se pode exigir uma participação ofensiva fora da área, algo que faz parte do “pacote” atrelado ao atleta.
“O Yuri Alberto funciona muito bem no Corinthians porque o Corinthians joga fechado e no contra-ataque. O time joga para ele fazer o gol. É aquela esticada, ele entra em velocidade, como fez ontem (contra o Novorizontino) e faz quase sempre.”
“Nos momentos em que se precisou do Yuri Alberto voltar para participar da manobra (ofensiva) foi desastroso. Foi aquela fase ruim sem fazer gols, jogando muito mal e tropeçando na bola. Isso faz parte do pacote do Yuri Alberto.”, externou.
