When I thought that Pokemon and its community had already shown me everything, a player goes and shows me how wrong I am.
It doesn’t matter that I’ve been glued to the Game Freak and Nintendo saga for years: there’s always a story that leaves me speechless. The latest was that of a streamer beating the game in less than 20 minutes without playing a single battle.
Second trailer for GTA 6
Taking advantage of all kinds of bugs, tricks and glitches, he manages to complete one of the most difficult Pokemon games in a very simple (and complicated at the same time) way. As content creator El Pikachu Feliz tells us, someone managed to beat Pokemon Diamond in a very special way.

The first thing the streamer did to beat the game in such a short time was to speed up the text and remove the music. After that, the game starts, he chooses Turtwig as his starter and executes the first glitch.
What he does is open and close the status window of his initial Pokemon until he causes a bug that allows him to freeze all the events of the game. When he goes through the grass, no wild creatures appear, and when he crosses paths with a trainer, they do not bat an eyelid.
Thanks to this, it is able to move forward without stopping. The next thing it does is, when it reaches a certain area, restart the game to unfreeze it, talk to a fisherman and get the old rod. It then places it in two hotkeys and proceeds to bug the game again.
With this new glitch, it is now even able to walk through the air, moving across the map at a tremendous speed. Thanks to this, it reaches the Pokemon League and proceeds to break the game for the third time, executing a series of bugs and glitches that allow it to avoid all the battles against the Elite Four.
He also manages to do so against Cynthia, one of the –for many– most powerful Pokemon League Champions in the franchise. After this, he is able to access the Champion’s Hall. The game automatically activates the event and the cutscene recognises him as such.
The end result is that he manages to become (in a way) the Pokemon League Champion in 17 minutes, with a level 5 Turtwig and without fighting a single battle. And yes, he does “cheat” –so to speak– but the process is so complex that it’s almost unbelievable.
He measures everything to perfection, especially the final phase, to advance as quickly as possible, obtaining a simply impressive time that is within the reach of very few speedrunners.
