Neymar voltou ao time do Santos depois de se recuperar de lesão na coxa, mas nem a presença do astro foi capaz de impedir a eliminação do time frente ao CRB, na última quinta-feira (22), pela Copa do Brasil, na decisão por pênaltis.
O camisa 10 entrou durante a partida no Rei Pelé e não demonstrou incômodos relativos ao longo tempo parado devido à lesão. Com isto, a esperança é grande de que o atacante possa até mesmo voltar ao time titular neste domingo (25), contra o Vitória, pelo Brasileirão Série A. na tentativa de fazer o Peixe voltar a vencer na competição e iniciar uma reação.

No entanto, o técnico Cléber Xavier pediu ‘calma’ ao comentar sobre a presença de Neymar jogando diante do Vitória. Na avaliação do comandante santista, o atleta performou bem durante o período em que esteve em campo, mas é preciso avaliar o quanto o estado físico do meia-atacante estará para definir seu status para o fim de semana.
“Trabalhamos ele nesses três dias com o grupo. Trabalhou bem, evoluiu bem, um pouco mais de 30 minutos. Sentimos ele bem, finalização. Agora é analisar a recuperação dele.
