Caitlin Clark is having a great start to her second year in the WNBA, with the Indiana Fever guard averaging 19.3 points, 9 assists and 6.3 rebounds in three games played so far in the 2025 regular season.
That’s one of the reasons why in the WNBA championship odds market, the Fever have gone from +2500 to +300 and currently hold roughly 80% of the handle. Only the current champions New York Liberty (+225) and Las Vegas Aces (+275) have better odds to win the title.

Caitlin Clark’s Performance Could Ignite Hype and Ratings in Upcoming Matchup
Caitlin Clark‘s greatness, though, comes with a price that includes animosity from rivals, and that’s just what the former Iowa Hawkeyes is going through right now. Indiana Fever beat the Atlanta Dream 81-76 to get a valuable road win, but a gesture on the bench surprised WNBA fans.
Center Brittney Griner, one of the most dominant and impactful players in the WNBA, set up a screen for one of her teammates when Clark ran into the Atlanta Dream‘s player. To some fans, Caitlin was guilty of flopping and Griner didn’t like her opponent’s gesture one bit.
She got called for her fifth foul and had to sit in the bench. The 6’9 center couldn’t hold her emotions and she called Clark out, even cussing her out by saying “f****** white girl,” which sparked a debate in social media about the attitude towards Caitlin.
The WNBA MVP race is going to be an exciting one
The WNBA MVP race is going to be one of the most exciting things to watch during the 2025 regular season. Las Vegas Aces forward A’ja Wilson unanimously won her third MVP in 2024 after an incredible season, averaging 26.9 points per game with 2.6 blocks, 2.3 assists, 1.8 steals, and 11.9 rebounds on over 50% shooting from the field.
Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier finished second in voting in 2024, and she seems motivated to begin 2025 with a vengeance and with the goal of winning that award in mind. She wrapped up opening weekend, averaging 28.3 points, five rebounds, and 2.5 assists on 56 percent shooting from the field and a 67% shooting from three.
Wilson had 31 points, 16 rebounds, three assists, two steals, a block, and shot 50 percent from the field in the Aces‘ opening against the New York Liberty this past weekend. Caitlin Clark picked up a triple-double (20 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists) to help lead the Fever to a win in their season opener.
