Classificados: saiba quem Botafogo e São Paulo podem enfrentar nas oitavas da Libertadores e quando será o sorteio

Botafogo e São Paulo foram os primeiros times brasileiros a concluírem suas participações na fase de grupos da Libertadores — e com sucesso. Nesta terça-feira, o alvinegro venceu a Universidad de Chile por 1 a 0, no Nilton Santos, e avançou em segundo no Grupo A (12 pontos). O tricolor paulista, que já estava classificado, bateu o Talleres por 2 a 1 no Morumbis e assegurou a liderança do Grupo D (14). Eles se juntam ao Palmeiras, garantido como primeiro do Grupo G e com a melhor campanha geral (15).

Agora, ambos aguardam o sorteio que será realizado na próxima segunda-feira (2) para conhecer seus adversários nas oitavas de final. O evento começará às 12h (horário de Brasília), na sede da Conmebol, em Luque (Paraguai).

Os dois times estarão em potes diferentes e existe a chance de se enfrentarem já na próxima fase, pois o regulamento permite um confronto nacional.

Regras do sorteio

Os 16 clubes classificados ao mata-mata estarão divididos em dois potes: um para os líderes dos oito grupos, e o outro para os segundos colocados. Neste momento, 11 equipes já estão garantidas no mata-mata, faltando ainda a definição de cinco grupos.

* Times que ainda jogarão pela última rodada

Além de a Conmebol não impedir um encontro de times do mesmo país nas próximas fases, também não impede que equipes que estavam no mesmo grupo sejam sorteadas. O restante da rodada acontecerá nesta quarta e quinta-feira (28 e 29).

A campanha na fase de grupos definirá os mandos de campo na fase eliminatória — os líderes serão ordenados de 1 (Palmeiras) a 8, enquanto os segundos, de 9 a 16 —, com a equipe melhor classificada definindo em casa, algo relevante nas fases mais agudas.

O sorteio de segunda-feira traçará o caminho até a final da Libertadores, que será disputada em Lima (Peru), no dia 29 de novembro. A Conmebol ainda não definiu o estádio para a partida.
