After dropping Game 3 to the New York Knicks on Sunday, the Indiana Pacers knew they couldn’t afford to return to Madison Square Garden with the series tied at 2-2 — especially after stealing the first two games in New York.
Fortunately for the Pacers, Tyrese Haliburton delivered a historic playoff performance when they needed it most. His 32-point, 15-assist, 12-rebound triple-double — without a turnover — powered the Pacers to a 130-121 win in Game 4, giving them a commanding 3-1 series lead.

Indiana is now one win away from reaching the NBA Finals for the first time since 2000.
On the latest episode of “The Athletic NBA Daily,” Dave DuFour and Zena Keita discussed whether Haliburton’s performances throughout these playoffs have been fueled by him being voted the NBA’s most overrated player. They also broke down Haliburton’s impact on the defensive end late in the game, how his willingness to share the ball elevates Indiana’s offense and why his ability to push the pace without turning the ball over makes him so unique.
