Shilo Sanders‘ relentless work ethic, captured in a recent self-shot video, is drawing attention from coaches, scouts and fans. While most rookies took their Sunday to rest, Sanders was sweating through an intense, unsupervised workout at a local park in Florida, proving once again that his NFL journey is fueled by grit over glory.
“They don’t let us in the facility on the weekends, so I just had to find a random field down here to get some work in,” Sanders explained in his latest YouTube upload.

In the video, Shilo begins with dynamic warmups, explaining: “I don’t really like to do static stretching. I feel quicker if I just do dynamic.”
His session included backpedal breaks, pursuit angles focusing on the inside hip, and quick-reaction footwork drills with visual cues. Even in the steamy Florida evening, Sanders kept pushing.
“Y’all see I’m in shape. We didn’t even take a break yet,” he said mid-session, dripping with sweat. “I might go on a jog tonight too, just to get my endurance up.”
His dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed. NFL Rookie Watch shared a clip of Sanders’s workout on X.
“Shilo Sanders’s footwork looks SURGICAL heading into his first season. Sanders has reportedly taken ‘no days off’ since arriving in Tampa Bay and is working towards securing playing time in 2025,” the caption read.
That type of determination is resonating inside the Buccaneers’ building. According to NFL Rookie Watch, multiple Tampa Bay coaches have “raved” about Sanders, specifically citing his “intelligence, work ethic, and athleticism.” The report adds that he’s not just impressing on the field but has also become a “locker room favorite.”
