Em reta final da sua trajetória pelo Palmeiras, Estêvão vai se despedir dos torcedores no jogo de hoje contra o Sporting Cristal, às 21h30 (de Brasília), pela última rodada da fase de grupos da Libertadores. Vale lembrar que o jovem de apenas 18 anos partirá rumo ao Chelsea somente após a disputa da Copa do Mundo de Clubes da FIFA.
Classificado para as oitavas de final e dono da melhor campanha com 15 pontos, o Palmeiras ‘cumpre tabela’, mas ao mesmo tempo tem o desejo de manter os 100% de aproveitamento. Por outro lado, os peruanos, em terceiro lugar com quatro pontos somados, precisam vencer a equipe brasileira e torcer por uma derrota do Cerro Porteño para o Bolívar, em La Paz.
Abel Ferreira vai poupar?
A escalação do Palmeiras diante do Sporting Cristal é cercada de mistério. Perto de um embate decisivo com o Cruzeiro, domingo, pelo Brasileirão, é possível que o Abel Ferreira opte por preservar aqueles mais desgastados. A única certeza tende a ser a presença de Richard Ríos, que cumpriu suspensão diante do Flamengo. Em contrapartida, Felipe Anderson e Bruno Rodrigues devem ser desfalques.
Após o treino de ontem, Maurício falou sobre a última oportunidade de atuar ao lado de Estêvão no Allianz Parque. “Sabemos que futebol é assim, pode mudar muito rápido, tanto para o bem quanto para o mal. Temos um jogo super importante agora, o último jogo do Estêvão no Allianz Parque, e sabemos que será um momento muito especial para ele”, disse o camisa 18.
Portanto, a provável escalação do Palmeiras é a seguinte: Weverton; Giay, Gustavo Gómez, Murilo e Piquerez; Emiliano Martínez, Lucas Evangelista e Richard Ríos; Estêvão, Facundo Torres e Vitor Roque.
A programação de Estêvão antes de deixar o Palmeiras
Depois do confronto desta noite, na Libertadores, Estêvão estará ainda à disposição de Abel Ferreira para enfrentar o Cruzeiro, dia 1 de junho, no Mineirão, pela 11ª rodada do Brasileirão. Em seguida, a joia palmeirense viaja com a delegação para os Estados Unidos, sede do Mundial de Clubes. Ao final da participação palestrina, o atacante será oficialmente apresentado pelo Chelsea.
Para este duelo que marca a despedida de Estêvão, a diretoria do Palmeiras anunciou uma promoção de ingressos a “preços populares”, que variam entre R$ 40 e R$ 120 para não-sócios. Não está confirmado, mas a expectativa é de uma linda festa com homenagens ao garoto.
Palmeiras mira substituto
Com a saída iminente de Estêvão, a diretoria do Palmeiras vislumbra a contratação de Ramón Sosa, atacante paraguaio de 25 anos, do Nottingham Forest. Segundo informações de Jorge Nicola, as negociações estariam bem encaminhadas para o jogador ser atleta do Verdão no segundo semestre.
Sosa é um desejo antigo do clube paulista. Desde quando ainda defendia o Talleres-ARG, o atleta despertou interesse, mas o seu desejo de jogar na Europa falou mais alto. A passagem pela Inglaterra não foi como o esperado e sua volta à América do Sul não é descartada.
