Der FC Bayern hat die Verpflichtung von Nationalspieler Jonathan Tah bekannt gegeben. Auf der Homepage des Rekordmeisters erklärten die Bayern, dass der Abwehr-Star ablösefrei von Bayer Leverkusen kommt und in München einen Vertrag bis 2029 erhält.
Am Mittwoch hatte Tah den Medizincheck in München erfolgreich absolviert.
Tah erste Worte als Bayern-Star: „Ich freue mich sehr, beim FC Bayern zu sein. Ich möchte hier Verantwortung übernehmen und jeden Tag hart arbeiten, damit wir als Mannschaft erfolgreich sind und gemeinsam viele Titel gewinnen.“ Eine Titel-Ansage.

Münchens Sportdirektor Christoph Freund über den Neuzugang: „Mit Jonathan Tah haben wir einen Spieler mit internationaler Erfahrung und Qualität verpflichtet, der keine lange Anlaufzeit benötigen wird, um in unserer Abwehr eine feste Größe zu werden. Er wird uns mit seinen fußballerischen Fähigkeiten und mit seiner Art und Weise, wie er vorangeht, gut tun und eine wichtige Verstärkung werden.“
Tah Vertrag in Leverkusen läuft aus, er wollte nicht mehr verlängern. Gut möglich aber, dass Bayern doch eine kleine Ablöse an Bayer zahlt – um Tah bereits im Juni bei der Klub-WM in den USA einsetzen zu können.
Sportvorstand Max Eberl: „Es ist kein Geheimnis, dass wir Jonathan Tah schon lange auf dem Radar haben. Wir schätzen seine Klasse: Er ist ein Typ, der Verantwortung übernimmt. Jonathan hatte viele Angebote vorliegen, aber er hat sich für den FC Bayern entschieden. Das freut uns sehr.“

Auch Bayern-Boss Jan-Christian Dreesen schwärmt: „Wir freuen uns sehr, Jonathan Tah beim FC Bayern willkommen zu heißen. Als erfahrener National- und Führungsspieler bringt er die Konstanz und Qualität mit, die unsere Defensive stärken werden. Er ist eine echte Bereicherung für uns – und dass er Titel gewinnen kann, hat er ebenfalls bewiesen.“
