Trent Alexander-Arnold wechselt von Liverpool zum spanischen Rekordmeister Real Madrid. Beide Vereine bestätigten am Freitag den Deal. „ESPN“ berichtet, dass sich die Klubs auf eine Ablösesumme von 10 Millionen Euro geeinigt haben, um ihn vorzeitig freizugeben (Vertrag endete im Sommer). So kann er schon bei der Klub-WM für Real auflaufen.
Liverpool hatte bereits angekündigt, dass Alexander-Arnold im Sommer Anfield den Rücken kehren würde. Der 26-Jährige entschied sich gegen eine Vertragsverlängerung bei seinem Jugendverein. Madrid nutzte die Chance und nahm Gespräche mit den Premier-League-Champions auf, um Alexander-Arnold vor Ablauf seines Vertrages am 30. Juni 2025 freizubekommen.
Der Transfer soll am Sonntag abgeschlossen werden, wenn das Sommer-Transferfenster öffnet. Madrid trifft im ersten Spiel der Klub-WM auf Al Hilal in Miami, Florida. Dort könnte Alexander-Arnold sein Debüt geben – am 18. Juni.

Der Klub glaubt, dass die frühe Verpflichtung von Alexander-Arnold seine Eingewöhnung erleichtern wird, um in der nächsten Spielzeit voll durchzustarten.
Alexander-Arnold hat bei Liverpool alles gewonnen, was es zu gewinnen gibt: 2019 die Champions League, zwei Premier-League-Titel in 2020 und 2025.
