Třetí utkání na hlavním dvorci odehraje Bouzková s Gauffovou. Pražská rodačka zatím na French Open překonává všechna očekávání. Na úvod turnaje porazila ruskou naději Annu Kalinskou, v druhém kole pak vyřadila Britku Sonay Kartalovou.
Gauffová si už jeden skalp české hráčky na turnaji připsala, když udolala teprve osmnáctiletou Terezu Valentovou. Teď narazí na další Češku, sedmačtyřicátou hráčku světa Bouzkovou.
Vzájemné zápasy ale překvapivě jasně hovoří pro českou hráčku. Poprvé jejich střetnutí v roce 2022 skončilo skrečí Gauffové po prvním prohraném setu. O rok později v Římě na antuce už Bouzková americkou tenistku porazila regulérně. I když první sadu ztratila, pak vyhrála dvakrát 6:2.
