Třiadvacetiletá Hamzová, která pochází ze známé sportovní rodiny, měla v poslední době ale i příjemnější starosti. Zvykala si třeba na působení v jednom týmu s mladší sestrou Marií. „A chvíli nám to trvalo, nikdy dřív jsme spolu tolik času netrávily. Jsem ale hrozně ráda, že jsme si párkrát v sezoně zahrály spolu,“ pronesla.
Žabiny – i díky Hamzové – jdou v posledních letech vzhůru. Zahrály si Euroligu, v české nejvyšší soutěži se odpoutaly od průměru a snaží se prohánět hegemona USK Praha. „Mají strašně silné osobnosti, nedají se lehce zlomit. Každý rok ale dělají Žabiny krůček k tomu, aby se USK vyrovnaly. Je to výzva,“ vykládala 182 centimetrů vysoká basketbalistka, která má velkou šanci, že získá nominaci na blížící se červnové mistrovství Evropy a zahraje si v Brně před domácím publikem.
