Vanderlei Luxemburgo não vê Neymar com o espírito necessário para ser o capitão da seleção. Recordando que Pelé, mesmo sendo o principal craque, não assumiu a braçadeira na Copa de 1970, o ex-comandante do Brasil sugere que o camisa 10 seja referência somente no quesito técnico, mas deixe o status de liderança para outro jogador.
“O Pelé não foi capitão da seleção brasileira. Você ser o melhor jogador da seleção brasileira não dá o direito de ser o capitão. O capitão, em 70, foi o Carlos Alberto Torres. O Neymar não tem liderança para ser o capitão da equipe.”, disse Luxa, no programa Galvão e Amigos.
“Naquele jogo contra a Croácia, precisava de um capitão que fosse o treinador em campo, e falasse: ‘Pessoal, acabou o jogo. Fura a bola. Não tem mais’. Não é o Neymar que vai fazer isso porque ele não tem essa liderança com os colegas dele.”, acrescentou.
Casemiro merece a braçadeira de capitão?
De volta ao grupo da seleção, Casemiro é um dos nomes que Ancelotti pode definir como o capitão do Brasil. Mencionando o caso de Carlos Alberto Torres, detentor do posto no tricampeonato mundial, o comentarista descarta que Neymar possa exercer, com maestria, o papel de líder.
“A liderança é uma coisa que surge. O Carlos Alberto Torres tinha. O Casemiro tem! O Neymar não vai ter essa liderança, ele vai ter a parte técnica. Liderança de imposição, ele não tem.”, prosseguiu.
Luxemburgo alerta Neymar
Embora seja admirador de Neymar, Luxemburgo avalia que, no momento, o craque não merece fazer parte da seleção. Ciente do nível que pode ser alcançado em campo, o técnico multicampeão no Brasil exige que o camisa 10 chame a responsabilidade para trazer confiança aos demais jogadores em campo na Copa do Mundo.
“As críticas procedem. Eu defendo o Neymar pelo craque que ele é. Ninguém pode dizer que ele não é craque. Só que esse Neymar que está aí, ele não pode ser convocado para a seleção brasileira. O Ancelotti fez certo em não levar ele agora. Tem que mudar o comportamento dele. Ele quer ser o dono do espetáculo. É um jogador importantíssimo, mas tem que se colocar à disposição em produtividade.”, avisou.
“O Neymar tem que chamar a responsabilidade e dizer o seguinte: ‘Eu sou o cara que ganho mais e tenho que fazer por onde’. Não está fazendo por onde. Se continuar dessa forma, ele não vai disputar uma Copa do Mundo.”, concluiu.
