Renato Paiva rebate críticas sobre mudanças no esquema do Botafogo: “Depois eu sou o burro”

O Botafogo vai buscando seguir sua reação no Brasileirão Série A depois de vencer o Santos na última rodada por 1 a 0. Mas o jeito como o treinador escalou o time para a partida pode não ter agradado a muitos.

Na Vila Belmiro, Renato Paiva alinhou com três volantes o time e, durante boa parte da partida, foi dominado pelo Peixe, que teve várias chances de gol. Com o Glorioso ainda a se acertar dentro de campo depois de vários tropeços na temporada, a torcida tem mantido a pressão em cima do treinador botafoguense.

‘Depois o Renato é burro’

Nesta segunda-feira (2), Paiva concedeu entrevista coletiva e tratou de responder às críticas sobre as suas escolhas de esquema tático no Fogão. O treinador defendeu o seu trabalho afirmando que vem tentando achar a formação ideal e que vê os torcedores querendo vencer as partidas, independente da tática acionada dentro de campo.

“Depois, o Renato é burro, como todos os treinadores do Brasil são. O que eu tento fazer é ir atrás diariamente e olhar para o rendimento dos jogadores, a forma física, e o que eles me dão para um único objetivo, que é ver o Botafogo ganhar. Se perguntar a dez torcedores se eles querem ganhar os próximos 20 jogos com três volantes, eles vão dizer que não gostam, mas querem ganhar os jogos. “, disse o treinador botafoguense

“Ontem, ganhamos com três volantes. Jogamos com três volantes contra o Flamengo e não ganhamos. Eu queria vencer. Isso às vezes é não conhecer o que se faz aqui e as características dos jogadores ou como treinador quer usá-los. Dentro da minha cabeça, só estou eu”, completou Paiva.

Rebatendo críticas

Sobre a visão de boa parte dos torcedores não apenas do Glorioso, mas de muitas equipes do futebol brasileiro, Renato Paiva ironizou a postura vista de se depreciar trabalhos por conta de derrotas, citando especificamente a imagem do ‘técnico burro’ para defender o que vê como futebol.

“O produto final só é visto no final do jogo. Se ganha é top, muito bom. Se não, é burro. É a nossa vida e, te garanto uma coisa, burro eu não sou. Minha busca incansável é para que o Botafogo ganhe. Se for como ontem, jogando mal, que ganhe” disse.
