Tragedy hits John Elway: Longtime agent and close friend dies following golf cart accident
The sports world is mourning the loss of Jeff Sperbeck, a former NFL agent and close confidant of Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway, who tragically passed away at the age of 62. Sperbeck succumbed to injuries sustained in a golf cart accident in La Quinta, California, on April 23. The incident occurred as the two friends, along with their wives and Elway's son, were leaving a Stagecoach music festival party.Sperbeck reportedly fell from a moving golf cart, suffering a traumatic brain injury after hitting his head on asphalt. According to TMZ, Elway, who was driving the cart at the time, immediately called 911. When paramedics arrived, Sperbeck was unconscious but still breathing.
