Walter Casagrande é sempre muito contundente em suas manifestações. Desta vez, o ex-jogador assegurou que o Corinthians não teria chances de brigar pelo Brasileirão, isso porque acredita que o elenco chega a ser inferior a outras equipes do futebol brasileiro.
Por outro lado, Casão entende ser possível que o Timão possa alcançar resultados melhores, por exemplo, na Copa do Brasil.
“Corinthians tem um time que, completo, é muito bom, competitivo, mas não é para ganhar o Campeonato Brasileiro. Não tem o elenco do Palmeiras, Flamengo, Internacional… é um time para Copas. Copa do Brasil? Talvez, mas não para um campeonato regular”, analisou Casagrande.
Com Dorival Júnior agora no comando, o comentarista ‘torce’ para o treinador conseguir ajustar um problema que parece crônico: o sistema defensivo.
“O miolo de zaga é muito frágil, você tem lá quatro jogadores e nenhum dá certo. O Dorival vai chegar e ele vai precisar se virar com o que tem lá. Não tem dinheiro, não pode mais arriscar. Seu trabalho vai ser reorganizar o time”, declarou Casagrande.
Cicinho vai na contramão de Casagrande
O ex-jogador Cicinho está pessimista em relação ao trabalho de Dorival no Corinthians. Para ele, o novo comandante terá muitas dificuldades pela ausência de grandes jogadores no elenco corintiano.
“Eu acredito que não vai dar liga! O Dorival deu jeito no São Paulo porque tinha craques como o Lucas Moura com vontade de jogar. O Dorival vai pegar o Corinthians com ‘craques’ que só jogam contra time pequeno, como o Memphis, que não querem jogar.”, disse Cicinho, no Jogo Aberto.

A estreia de Dorival no Corinthians acontece nesta quarta-feira (30) contra o Novorizontino, às 21h30 (de Brasília), no estádio Jorge Ismael de Biasi, pela primeira partida da terceira fase da Copa do Brasil. Depay, lesionado, será desfalque nesta noite.
