Bills find their AWOL cornerback, Darius Slay, 891 miles from the stadium
The Buffalo Bills have finally found their long-lost wide receiver. The team claimed veteran Darius Slay off waivers in early December, but hadn't seen him until today, 861 miles from where he was supposed to be.Slay is a 13-year veteran who began his career as the 36th overall pick in the 2013 draft by the Lions. After leaving Detroit in 2019, he played five seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles.Although he put up good numbers, the Birds decided to release Slay a month after playing in Super Bowl LIX. The Pittsburgh Steelers signed him to a one-year, $10 million contract in the offseason but waived him on December 2.The Bills wasted no time and claimed the veteran almost immediately.
