Šestapadesátiletý bývalý útočník před odchodem do Vítkovic vedl jako hlavní kouč dva roky Karlovy Vary. V první lize trénoval Litoměřice, byl také hlavním koučem reprezentační osmnáctky a asistentem u týmu do 20 let.
