Jorge Jesus foi demitido do Al-Hilal – Divuilgação
Incomodado com a novela envolvendo Carlo Ancelotti e a seleção brasileira, Roberto Rivellino está reticente em relação a Jorge Jesus. Apontado como ‘plano B’, o português está livre no mercado após ser demitido do Al-Hilal.
A princípio, o treinador do Real Madrid ainda é o favorito da CBF, que deve aguardá-lo até que as chances de título dos merengues na LaLiga terminem. Como alternativa, Riva sugeriu Abel Ferreira, do Palmeiras, para o cargo.
“Em vez do Jesus, eu pegaria o Abel Ferreira. Não sei se ele vai querer assumir a seleção brasileira, mas eu pegaria o Abel. E outra coisa, precisa ver também se agora o Jorge Jesus vai querer vir depois de toda essa novela com o Ancelotti”, disse Rivellino, no programa ‘Cartão Verde’.
De fato, o nome de Abel agrada bastante os dirigentes da CBF. O comandante do Verdão passou a ser um dos cotados para a vaga de Dorival Júnior, que foi demitido no fim do mês de março.

Depois da vitória contra o Ceará, na Copa do Brasil, Abel Ferreira se mostrou honrado em ser um dos avaliados pela CBF, mas reforçou seu compromisso com o Palmeiras e seus objetivos para a temporada.
“Já disse isso publicamente. O lema ‘ordem e progresso’ é algo que eu gosto muito na bandeira do Brasil. Estou aqui há cinco anos, no Brasil, e é algo com que me identifico muito no Palmeiras, ordem e progresso. Isso que fazemos aqui dentro”, relatou.
“É uma honra ter o nome associado a uma das melhores seleções do mundo (Brasil), mas é claro e sabido que eu tenho contrato com o Palmeiras. Meu foco é total e absoluto”, completou.
Palmeiras nega ter sido procurado
Após a notícia publicada por Lauro Jardim, em que Abel e CBF teriam conversas avançadas, o Palmeiras publicou uma nota negando a informação. Leila Pereira, inclusive, avisou que o clube precisa primeiro ser procurado.
“Nenhuma pessoa da CBF ou ligada à CBF procurou o Palmeiras para falar sobre o Abel.” Aliás, eu tenho certeza de que, se a CBF tiver interesse de fazer futuramente um convite ao Abel, o presidente Ednaldo vai me telefonar antes de qualquer movimentação”, declarou Leila.
