No próximo domingo (11), o São Paulo irá até a Arena Barueri para o clássico contra o Palmeiras, às 17h30, pela 8ª rodada do Brasileirão, buscando manter uma invencibilidade de quase dois meses.
Além de evitar a primeira derrota na competição, a equipe treinada por Luis Zubeldía entrará em campo tendo como foco melhorar seu desempenho no Campeonato Brasileiro. Isso porque o clube hoje ocupa a 12ª posição na tabela, com seis empates e apenas uma vitória em sete jogos.
Inclusive até o momento o SPFC empatou 11 dos 26 jogos disputados em 2025, o mesmo número de triunfos no ano.

Já no torneio continental o time paulista encaminhou sua vaga para a fase de oitavas de final ao vencer o Alianza Lima por 2 a 0 na última terça-feira (6). Com isso o time chegou aos 10 pontos, com três vitórias e um empate.

In the first inning, center fielder Oneil Cruz looked as if the losing had worn him down.
