El de Rímini es 15º en el Mundial, con sólo 31 puntos y un séptimo lugar en Austin como mejor resultado. Su acoplamiento a la KTM no llega y, encima, su compañero, Maverick Viñales, sí ha cuajado alguna buena carrera con la montura austriaca.
Tocó fondo… o no
Sin embargo, en el trazado británico, el italiano tocó fondo… o quizá no viendo su mal rendimiento este curso. “Fue una carrera realmente difícil, también desde el punto de vista mental, porque ya la situación era difícil debido a tanto viento, luego con la ‘Long Lap’ (que arrastraba de Le Mans) también perdí al grupo. Pero el problema no fue ese, es el hecho de que no me encuentro“, admitió. No en vano acabó 17º a 54 segundos del ganador, Bezzecchi.

El que fuera campeón de Moto2 y ganador de carreras en Moto3 y MotoGP (hasta siete), lo pasó mal. “No encuentro el punto. Pensé en retirarme en todas las vueltas. Continué por respeto a todos, pero fue, realmente, la carrera más difícil de mi vida. Dada mi carrera es difícil ser positivo y tener el humor correcto. Es obvio que espero y esperaba más, pero en este momento este más no está llegando, al contrario. Todo lo que probamos no funciona y es realmente malo“, proclamó.
Perdidos
El drama para el transalpino está en que cambia cosas en la moto, prueba la configuración de Viñales y da vueltas… para nada. “Las condiciones más extremas, en las que había más viento, amplificaron todos mis problemas. Entonces, todo lo que no funcionó el sábado, el domingo fue aún peor. El gran problema es que no sabemos qué hacer“, reconoció.
Pide ayuda
Bastianini pide ayuda a la casa centroeuropea para dar un paso adelante. “Espero que llegue algo que pueda ayudar. En primer lugar, a nivel de ergonomía, porque no estoy cómodo. Luego, también de la electrónica y el chasis, que creo que son dos aspectos que no hay que subestimar y que nos están ralentizando”, concluyó a modo de ruego.
