
Actress Loretta Swit, best known for playing Margaret ‘Hot Lips’ Houlihan on the series ‘M*A*S*H’, has died. According to TMZ, she has died at the age of 79, after consulting with her publicist, Harlan Boll, who even spoke to her at night and said she seemed to be fine.
She was found by her housekeeper in her New York apartment, already dead, but the cause of death is still unknown, although Boll notes that it was most likely natural causes.

She was nominated for 10 Emmys, and won two, for her work on the series, which told the story of a U.S. Army medical unit operating on the front lines of the Korean War. The series ran from 1972 to 1983, but she did not disappear after that, as she could be seen in other productions such as ‘Hawaii Five-0’ and ‘Murder, She Wrote’.
