The Birmingham Stallions built momentum for the playoffs by posting a 46-9 triumph over the host Memphis Showboats in the UFL regular-season finale on Sunday.

The Stallions (7-3) — who host the Michigan Panthers next week for the USFL Conference title and the right to meet the XFL Conference winner in the championship game — received 42 rushing yards and two touchdowns by Ricky Person Jr.

J’Mar Smith started for Birmingham and completed 13 of 17 passes for 127 yards and one score before Andrew Peasley jumped in and threw for 93 yards as the blowout unfolded.

The Showboats (2-8) got as close as 13-9 on Deneric Prince’s 6-yard touchdown run with 10:20 left in the first half, but the Stallions reeled off the last 33 points. Smith started the spree with a 10-yard touchdown pass to Amari Rodgers.

From there, Harrison Mevis boomed field goals of 49 and 54 yards, Person and Larry Rountree III rushed for 2-yard scores and Tae Crowder intercepted a Dresser Winn pass and took it 25 yards for a touchdown.

Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton is on historic clutch streak; here are his best moments

<!--> Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton is having a postseason run for the ages. The funny thing is that Haliburton isn't necessarily lighting up the box score. Across Indiana's 17 postseason games, Haliburton, a two-time All-NBA honoree, is averaging 18.5 points, 9.5 assists, 5.9 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game, while shooting 46.6/33.1/80.4. Of course, the other side is that Haliburton has led the Pacers to the NBA Finals, and they now lead the Oklahoma City Thunder 1-0 after a fourth-quarter comeback that ended with him hitting a game-winning jump shot with 0.3 seconds remaining. This has been the theme for Haliburton this spring: hitting game-winning jump shots, sending games to overtime and pulling off clutch moment after clutch moment. Here are Haliburton's best moments of the 2025 NBA postseason.Game 5 of Eastern Conference first round Haliburton and the Pacers took down the […]

USMNT’s Patrick Agyemang, once an overlooked striker, is now a World Cup hopeful

Doug McIntyre Soccer Journalist <!--> Patrick Agyemang was playing Division III college soccer the last time the U.S. men’s national team sent anything resembling a first-choice squad to the Concacaf Gold Cup.It was the summer of 2019, and Agyemang was about to enter his second season at tiny Eastern Connecticut State University, a 30-minute drive from his hometown of East Hartford. His goal of becoming a professional soccer player — let alone a legitimate candidate for the USMNT’s 2026 World Cup squad — was a distant dream for the then-19-year-old striker."Obviously, I had doubts," Agyemang told FOX Sports in a recent phone interview. "I've always had the utmost confidence in myself. But I wasn't sure. I’m playing D-III, and all I really knew was guys get drafted from Division I.
