A situação de Gonzalo Plata, convocado pela Seleção Equatoriana, tem dado o que falar nos bastidores do Flamengo. Afinal, de olho no Super Mundial de Clubes, o Rubro-Negro havia pedido para que o jogador fosse dispensado para ficar no Rio de Janeiro finalizando a sua recuperação após uma lesão. Porém, não foi o que aconteceu.
O clube carioca não gostou que a Federação Equatoriana mandou uma equipe médica para visitar e avaliar o atleta. Agora, o presidente da entidade, Francisco Egas, foi sincero sobre o assunto e se pronunciou contra o Mais Querido, apontando a prioridade que a seleção tem em relação à equipe rubro-negra.
O que disse Francisco Egas?
Em entrevista para o canal De Una TV, Egas apontou que sempre manteve um contato constante com a diretoria do Flamengo, explicando a visita que Gonzalo Plata recebeu da comissão técnica da Seleção do Equador. “Em todos os momentos mantivemos contato constante com eles […] Beccacece (técnico do Equador) visitou Plata recentemente no Brasil”, ressaltou.
“[O treinador] conversou com todos no Flamengo. E os médicos têm mantido contato constante. Tudo o que fizemos em relação a Gonzalo, fizemos com o conhecimento dos dirigentes do clube. Eles (Flamengo) têm o Mundial de Clubes. Nesse sentido, para eles, era melhor que o jogador não viesse, que ele ficasse lá na recuperação.”, justificou o presidente da Federação.
“No entanto, como é um torneio da FIFA, temos nossas prioridades, que são trazer o jogador, garantir sua condição física e garantir seu processo de recuperação. Podem ter certeza de que não correremos riscos com ele”, finalizou o mandatário da entidade.
Flamengo mantém a postura
De acordo com o jornalista Léo José, o Flamengo manteve a sua posição após as falas de Francisco Egas. O clube carioca ainda ressalta que não foi comunicado pela Federação Equatoriana de Futebol em relação ao procedimento no joelho de Gonzalo Plata para a Data Fifa. Por sua vez, o jogador está em Guayaquil, com a seleção.
Alguns torcedores concordaram com a atitude do Mais Querido. “Tá na cara que eles vão fazer algo para ele jogar. O importante é a classificação da seleção. Se der problemas, quem pagar mesmo não são eles”, disse um internauta no X. “Então o Flamengo e o Internacional são mentirosos?”, questionou outro. “Sempre querem justificar o injustificável!”, apontou um terceiro.
