Paulinho chegou ao Palmeiras ainda se recuperando de cirurgia e demorou para poder estar à disposição e poder jogar. Mas o desejo de ter o atacante totalmente pronto fisicamente para a principal competição da temporada, a Copa do Mundo de Clubes, não deverá acontecer
Segundo informação de Diogo Dantas, de O Globo, já há dentro do clube uma ‘consciência’ de que o jogador disputará o Mundial de Clubes sem estar 100% de sua forma. Apesar de já estar jogando e até ter feito gol na partida contra o Sporting Cristal, pela Libertadores, ter o atleta em sequência por 90 minutos em várias partidas ainda está distante dos desejos de Abel Ferreira.
Controle de carga
Não há chance alguma de que Paulinho desfalque o Verdão no torneio a se iniciar nos próximos dias nos Estados Unidos. Mas sua presença de campo será controlada pela comissão técnica e departamento médico, a fim de evitar problemas que possam causar uma nova lesão que demande ainda mais tempo parado para o jogador
“Toda vez que a gente tenta, de alguma forma, subir a carga, é normal que a gente tenha algum resíduo, é normal que eu sinta um pouco mais. Então, é importante a gente ter essa cautela para controlar essas dores, esses incômodos, para nos momentos em que o professor (Abel) precisar de mim, eu esteja pronto”, disse o atacante
Nova cirurgia está descartada
Ainda quando estava no Atlético-MG, Paulinho se submeteu a uma cirurgia na perna e veio para o Palmeiras ainda sem condições de jogo. O atacante fez a parte final de recuperação no Verdão e, por isso, apenas estreou em abril, mas ainda sem fazer jogos completos. Quando tem jogado, ou entra durante o segundo tempo ou, quando teve a chance de começar jogando, não esteve em campo nos 90 minutos.
Uma nova cirurgia na perna, por enquanto, está fora de cogitação, com o clube procurando dosar a presença em campo do atacante no Mundial de Clubes. Mas, dependendo das condições do atleta depois do torneio, a situação poderá ter contornos de diferentes depois de novas avaliações.
