Golf’s third major is rapidly approaching as the 2025 U.S. Open tees off Thursday, June 12 at Oakmont Country Club. The first two majors of the year have been largely chalk, with the top two players in the world winning. World No. 2 Rory McIlroy won the Masters in April, while World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler took the PGA Championship in May. Scheffler is in elite form entering the U.S. Open 2025, winning three of the last four tournaments he’s played. McIlroy, meanwhile, doesn’t have any top-five finishes since his Masters win and will enter the U.S. Open golf tournament coming off a missed cut at the RBC Canadian Open.
