Arnaldo Ribeiro reprovou Neymar pelo desempenho mostrado em 2025, ano em que voltou ao futebol brasileiro para defender o Santos. Na edição desta quarta-feira (dia 11 de junho) do programa G4, do canal Bandsports, o comentarista esportivo analisou que o atacante tem que ser mais profissional, sobretudo na parte extra-campo.
“Entre não conseguir mais por incapacidade física e o não tentar, a questão é não tentar. Ele nunca tentou. Esse é o meu ponto: ele nunca tentou voltar a ser um atleta de futebol profissional”, iniciou.
Arnaldo Ribeiro também opinou sobre uma entrevista concedida por Carlo Ancelotti, na qual o treinador da seleção brasileira deixou claro que conta com Neymar. O italiano analisou que o jogador pode atuar como meio-campista.
“Ele (Ancelotti) falou na melhor versão. A grande dúvida é se o Neymar consegue chegar minimamente próximo da melhor versão dele como jogador de futebol. Acho pouco provável. E vai depender muito dele. Não sei qual o interesse que ele tem. Vai além de visitar a seleção”, finalizou o comentarista.
Neymar admite rendimento abaixo no Santos
De acordo com o site Ogol, o atacante marcou três gols e deu três assistências, nos 12 jogos que disputou pelo Peixe. O atleta também se machucou e foi desfalque em partidas importantes como a semifinal do Campeonato Paulista, por exemplo. Em entrevista ao Bandsports, Neymar analisou o próprio desempenho.
“Minha história com o Santos nunca vai desgrudar. Nasci e quero morrer ali. O Santos é a minha casa, o time do meu coração. Estou fazendo tudo o que posso para ajudar o Santos de todas as formas, dentro e fora de campo. Infelizmente ajudei mais fora do que dentro. Não era esse o objetivo”, reconheceu.
