Sem entrar em campo há quase duas semanas, o Vasco tirou proveito dos dias de treinamento com Fernando Diniz. Mesmo jogando fora de casa, a equipe mostrou sinais de evolução na vitória por 3 a 1 sobre o São Paulo, nesta quinta-feira, e, de quebra, se distanciou da zona de rebaixamento com o primeiro triunfo como visitante no Campeonato Brasileiro. Com participações nos dois gols, Rayan tomou conta do jogo em outra apresentação de destaque com a camisa cruz-maltina.
O São Paulo colocou um ritmo forte no início da partida. Com menos de cinco minutos, Luciano e Lucas Ferreira encontraram espaços para chutar de fora da área. Depois de resistir à pressão nos primeiros minutos, o Vasco teve mais tranquilidade para trocar passes e encontrou espaços nas beiradas do campo.

O time de Fernando Diniz ganhou confiança com o gol. Mais presente no campo de ataque, a pressão cruz-maltina na saída de bola surtiu o efeito. Depois de balançar as redes, o camisa 77 quase voltou a marcar ao desarmar o lateral-esquerdo Enzo Diaz e chutar forte para a defesa de Rafael, que afastou para o meio da área. Ligado no lance, Nuno Moreira aproveitou o rebote para fazer o segundo do Vasco, aos 40.
Na segunda etapa, o cruz-maltino não sofreu tanto defensivamente e ainda deu tempo de fazer mais um. Em outra saída de bola errada do tricolor, Paulo Henrique fez ótima jogada pelo corredor direito e cruzou na medida para Vegetti sacramentar o resultado, aos 23. Já no final da partida, Ryan Francisco diminuiu o placar.
Além de se livrar da zona de rebaixamento, o Vasco chegou aos 13 pontos e ultrapassou a equipe paulista na 13ª colocação. Agora, o elenco tem pela frente dez dias de férias com a pausa para a Copa do Mundo de Clubes. O retorno às atividades está previsto para o dia 23 deste mês.
