Maior ídolo do Rubro-Negro acredita que os europeus podem ser batidos ao longo do mata-mata pelos representantes do futebol nacional
Zico, antes da estreia do Flamengo no Mundial de Clubes, demonstrou uma expectativa positiva com o futuro dos brasileiros. Além do Rubro-Negro, o Galinho vê margem para o Palmeiras, Botafogo e Fluminense chegarem ao mata-mata e baterem de frente com os europeus. Apesar do favoritismo atrelado aos times do Velho Continente, a possibilidade de surpresas fez o ex-jogador projetar um dos concorrentes nacionais chegando nas fases decisivas, com uma torcida óbvia pela equipe de Filipe Luís.
“Gostaria de ter tempo para ficar o tempo todo. Eu estou muito confiante nos times brasileiros para ter gente nas finais. Com todo respeito aos europeus, que estão à frente nos últimos anos, mas eu vejo que os brasileiros estão bem, muito fortes, seguros e confiantes. Espero que o Flamengo seja um deles. Fez boas contratações, é um time maduro e cascudo com jogadores que disputaram Copa do Mundo e grandes competições. Acredito que, por esse lado, não vão sentir tanto como outros podem sentir.”, disse Zico, em entrevista à CazéTV.
Zico avalia estreia do Flamengo
Inicialmente, Zico gostaria de ver o Flamengo encarando o Chelsea na primeira rodada do Mundial. Levando em conta que existe um favoritismo ligado aos dois times no Grupo D, uma igualdade no nível de tensão, causada pela estreia, deixaria o confronto mais indefinido e passível de uma vitória do Rubro-Negro.
“Eu sempre gostei de jogar competições assim com o mais forte no primeiro jogo. A tensão vai para os dois lados. É uma competição nova, uma Copa do Mundo. É normal que tenha uma ansiedade. Isso, às vezes, pesa no resultado. É difícil ver uma surpresa, como tivemos Arábia Saudita ganhando da Argentina.”, externou.
Estreia do Palmeiras no Mundial
Embasando o discurso, Zico lembrou que o Palmeiras, logo de cara, encarou o rival mais forte do seu grupo. Como houve um empate diante do Porto, o time alviverde se encontra livre da ansiedade para encarar Al Ahly e Inter Miami, adversários que possuem um nível técnico menor em relação aos portugueses.
“Em termos de emoção, o primeiro jogo não é fácil. Mexe com a estrutura dos jogadores. Quando estão dois times fortes na primeira partida, tá tudo bem. Você fica mais calmo depois. Foi o que aconteceu, por exemplo, com o Palmeiras. Passou por um grande (desafio). Teoricamente, né. Hoje, a gente não pode botar esse favoritismo todo.”, concluiu.
