Comentarista da ESPN repercutiu vaias recebidas pelo ídolo do Mengão e relembrou do tratamento diferente que recebeu o atacante do Cruzeiro
Em meio a disputa da Copa do Mundo de Clubes, o Flamengo está próximo de perder Gerson, um dos seus principais jogadores. Isso porque, ele tem negociações avançadas com o Zenit, da Rússia, que irá pagar sua multa rescisória. Se confirmada a negociação, ele irá receber cerca de três vezes mais do que ganha atualmente. A transferência, porém, é apenas para depois do torneio da Fifa.
Mas, essa saída de Gerson pensando na questão financeira, já que no lado esportivo ele deve perder espaço na seleção brasileira, não caiu bem entre os torcedores. Na estreia do time ontem, diante do Espérance, o meio-campista ouviu vaias dos torcedores, além de algumas manifestações mostrando uma nota de dinheiro com o rosto do jogador.

No programa “Linha de Passe” de ontem, exibido pela ESPN, o comentarista Vitor Birner disse não entender a lógica dos flamenguistas em tratar o Gerson dessa maneira, fazendo uma comparação com Gabigol, que trocou o Rubro-Negro pelo Cruzeiro. “Quando a gente fala de uma coisa muito passional, como é o futebol, a gente não espera coerência. Mas, se eu racionalizar a saída do Gerson, eu não entendo a vaia”, iniciou.
O jornalista, então, faz um comparativo das duas saídas, dizendo que a do Gerson é muito mais compreensiva, já que ele não está indo para um adversário do Mengão e vai receber um salário muito alto. Já Gabigol, foi para um time que enfrenta e disputa títulos com o clube carioca, além de estar recebendo próximo do que já ganhava no Rubro-Negro.
Por fim, Birner ainda faz uma crítica ao comportamento do atacante cruzeirense, entendendo que há uma diferença muito clara entre os dois ídolos. “Os dois têm muitos títulos, os dois são importantes na ‘era de ouro’ do Flamengo, só que o Gabigol, em algum momento, parecia se colocar um pouquinho acima do clube. O Gerson nunca fez isso, sempre foi um jogador extremamente coletivo, se doava para fazer diversas funções”, opinou o comentarista.

Revelado pelo Fluminense, Gerson chegou ao Mengão em 2019, após passagem sem muito brilho pelo futebol italiano, atuando na Roma e Fiorentina. No Rubro-Negro, foi um dos principais jogadores do time de 2019, campeão da Libertadores e do Brasileirão. Deixou o clube em 2021 para jogar no Olympique de Marseille, mas retornou em 2023. Ao todo, fez 251 jogos pelo Flamengo, marcando 18 gols e dando 34 assistências. Foram 12 títulos, sendo uma Libertadores, dois Brasileiros e uma Copa do Brasil.
Com sua saída praticamente certa, foi titular ontem na vitória por 2 a 0 diante do Espérance, sendo substituído aos 20 minutos do segundo tempo. Por enquanto, tem apenas mais dois jogos garantidos, os últimos da fase de grupos do Mundial. Na sexta (20), o Flamengo enfrenta o Chelsea, às 15h (de Brasília). Depois, na próxima terça (24), encara o Los Angeles, às 22h. Por ter vencido na estreia, avança ao mata-mata se ganhar um desses dois jogos.
