Volante uruguaio voltará de empréstimo junto a equipe da MLS, mas contratação de Alex Santana deve fazer com que não seja aproveitado por Mano Menezes
Durante a parada para a Copa do Mundo de Clubes da Fifa, os clubes que não estão participando da competição aproveitam para darem férias aos jogadores, vasculhar o mercado da bola em busca de reforços e, também, fazer mudanças e recalcular a rota visando as disputas que vêm por aí no segundo semestre.
E este é o caso do Grêmio, que conseguiu sair da zona de rebaixamento nas últimas partidas disputadas pelo Campeonato Brasileiro antes da parada. Agora, os torcedores esperam novas contratações e que o técnico Mano Menezes consiga aumentar o rendimento da equipe, tanto no torneio nacional quanto na Copa Sul-Americana.
Carballo pode deixar o Tricolor para jogar no Athletico-PR
No meio de campo, é comentada a possibilidade de saída do volante Camilo. O jogador estaria fora dos planos. Além disso, há algumas semanas pairava no ar a dúvida sobre o destino do meio-campista Carballo. O contrato do jogador com o New York Red Bulls, da MLS, está se encerrando no futebol dos Estados Unidos.
Acontece que o Grêmio já contratou Alex Santana para a função e, até este momento, não indica que quer permanecer com o uruguaio. Com contrato até o final de 2026, a tendência de momento é um novo empréstimo de Carballo. Dessa vez, o destino seria o Athletico-PR, clube que está disputando a Série B do Campeonato Brasileiro.
Próximo jogo do Grêmio será somente após o Mundial
Sem partidas para disputar enquanto ocorre a Copa do Mundo de Clubes da Fifa, o Grêmio já tem data para voltar a campo: no próximo dia 13 de julho, o Tricolor vai visitar o Cruzeiro. O jogo será válido pela 13ª rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro e vai acontecer no estádio do Mineirão, em Belo Horizonte, às 20h30 (de Brasília).
Sem derrota nos últimos três jogos pelo torneio nacional, o Imortal atualmente é o 11º colocado na tabela de classificação do Brasileirão, com 16 pontos. São cinco a mais em relação ao rival Internacional, que abre a zona de descenso, o tão temido Z-4, com 11.
Além disso, o Grêmio disputa também a Copa Sul-Americana. Por ter ficado na segunda colocação da fase de grupos, os gaúchos vão jogar o playoff, rodada que antecede as oitavas de final. Nesta competição, o adversário gremista será o Alianza Lima, do Peru. A primeira partida acontece fora de casa, no dia 16 de julho.
