Nesta terça-feira (17), o Fluminense estreou na Copa do Mundo de Clubes da Fifa e empolgou pela ótima atuação, mas não conseguiu sair do zero contra o Borussia Dortmund, da Alemanha. O dia ainda teve a vitória do River Plate, a zebra do Monterrey contra a Inter de Milão e a vitória do africano Mamelodi Sundowns diante o sul-coreano Ulsan HD.
Fluminense “amassa” o Borussia Dortmund, mas fica no zero
Em duelo contra um dos maiores clubes da Alemanha, o Flu se impôs e dominou o jogo praticamente do começo ao fim do jogo. Com 14 finalizações no total, sendo 5 no alvo, o time do Rio de Janeiro criou muitas chances claras, mas desperdiçou as oportunidades e não conseguiu balançar as redes.
Após o empate em 0 a 0 no grupo F, Renato Gaúcho avaliou a atuação de sua equipe: “Criamos chances, mas o futebol é assim. Importante é que estreamos bem, contra adversário poderoso. Isso nos dá confiança”, comentou o treinador.
