O atacante Kylian Mbappé recebeu alta após ter sido hospitalizado nos Estados Unidos com quadro de gastroenterite aguda — a doença infecciosa comum acomete estômago, intestino delgado ou grosso. Desfalque na estreia do Real Madrid no Mundial de Clubes da Fifa, contra o Al Hilal (Arábia Saudita), ele voltou à concentração do elenco, em Palm Beach, na Flórida.
Segundo o clube espanhol havia divulgado na manhã desta quinta-feira, o jogador francês havia sido internado no hospital para a realização de exames e para o tratamento do quadro. A saída aconteceu já na parte da tarde.
“Nosso jogador Kylian Mbappé recebeu alta do hospital nesta tarde e voltou à concentração do Real Madrid. Mbappé continuará recebendo tratamento médico específico e será reintegrado gradualmente às atividades da equipe”, disse o Real em nota.
Segundo o jornal Marca, da Espanha, Mbappé não estará à disposição de Xabi Alonso para a segunda rodada do Mundial, no domingo, dia 22 de junho, às 16h (de Brasília), contra o Pachuca (México). O francês seguirá sob cuidados médicos para tratar da gastroenterite.
Mbappé não participou do último treino do Real Madrid antes da partida contra o Al-Hilal, estreia da equipe no Mundial, e ficou de fora até mesmo do banco de reservas no confronto. O atacante apresentou febre durante a noite de segunda para terça-feira e, por recomendação médica, foi poupado das atividades, em meio às altas temperaturas registradas em Miami.
Sem Mbappé, o Real Madrid empatou com o Al-Hilal. O time merengue chegou a abrir o placar, mas não conseguiu manter o resultado. Com gols de Gonzalo Garcia e de Rubens Neves, de pênalti, o jogo terminou em 1 a 1, com Valverde perdendo um pênalti nos acréscimos.
