Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed the signing of winger Fer Lopez from Celta Vigo.
The 21-year-old Spanish is Wolves’ first signing of the summer transfer window.
Lopez came through Celta Vigo’s youth academy and broke into the Spanish side’s first team last season. He ended the 2024-25 campaign having made 20 first-team appearances, 17 of those coming in La Liga.

Wolves have previously done business with Celta Vigo, having signed striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, initially on a loan deal, from the Spanish side in the summer of 2024.
“Jorgen told me that to play in the Premier League and with a team like Wolves, it’s amazing, and that the fans were incredible,” Lopez told the Wolves website.
“He told me that I should come, and that with the gaffer and all the teammates, the style of play was going to be very good. We’re going to play good football, attractive football, and I think I can fit in there.”
After breaking into the first team in January, he helped the side finish seventh in La Liga.
A versatile wide forward, Lopez has been deployed on either wing and in attacking midfield for Celta in 2024-25, scoring four goals.
Lopez’s potential arrival comes following the sales of Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri to Manchester United and Manchester City respectively.

The Pittsburgh Pirates came into Friday's game versus the Texas Rangers with the second-worst record in the National League at 30-46. In the first inning, center fielder Oneil Cruz looked as if the losing had worn him down.
