
Los problemas del jugador neerlandés Quincy Promes -ex de Sevilla y Ajax entre otros- con la justicia siguen dando de que hablar. Y ahora, la novedad es que el futbolista ha sido trasladado bajo custodia hasta su país, Países Bajos, para que cumpla allí con las dos condenas que se le dictaron: una por narcotráfico y otra por apuñalar a su primo durante una celebración familiar.
Tal y como ha informado De Telegraaf, Promes fue detenido la semana pasada en Dubái y ha sido durante la tarde de este viernes cuando se le ha extraditado hasta su país. Estaba pensado, en un principio, que se hiciese mediante un vuelo comercial, pero el riesgo de que fuera fotografiado por otros pasajeros y por temas de seguridad, acabaron por descartar esa opción.
Finalmente, la decisión que se ha tomado ha sido fletar un avión privado por parte de la justicia para la realización del traslado. Durante el mismo, personal del Royal Marechaussee, que ha volado hasta los Emiratos Árabes Unidos, han custodiado al jugador.
Futuro inmediato
A pesar de negar los cargos y haber presentado apelaciones en ambos casos por estar dentro de los plazos del proceso, Promes comenzará a cumplir con su condena en su Países Bajos natal. De confirmarse las sentencias, como mínimo, hasta dentro de cinco años, es decir 2030, no podría obtener la libertad condicional.
