Utilização do volante na equipe titular de Mano Menezes gerou debate e dividiu opiniões entre os participantes do programa Debate Raiz
O volante Dodi foi tema em um dos momentos do programa Debate Raiz, transmitido no YouTube, nesta semana. O comentarista Alex Bagé afirmou que o jogador não pode ser titular do Grêmio, o que vem acontecendo nas últimas partidas da equipe de Mano Menezes.
“O Dodi é útil para banco. O Dodi não pode jogar com a camisa do Grêmio titular, não adiante a gente embonecar ruim. Ele é fraco, ele nunca foi o responsável por mudar time nenhum”, afirmou Bagé, em resposta a Thaigor Janke, que afirmou que o volante é “muito útil” para o Tricolor Gaúcho.
Números de Dodi na temporada
Mathias Villasanti é o dono do meio-campo gremista. Segundo o Sofascore, o paraguaio tem a melhor média entre os volantes da equipe, com 7,0. Dodi aparece em segundo lugar, com 6,78, ficando inclusive à frente de Gustavo Cuéllar, contratado no início desta temporada.
Ao lado de Villasanti, Dodi é o volante do Grêmio que mais atuou em 2025, com 26 partidas cada. Quando comparados a Cuéllar e Camilo — jogadores com mais de 10 jogos no ano e que atuam em setores próximos do campo — Villasanti também se destaca no número de desarmes: são 62 no ano, com média de 2,3 por partida. O colombiano tem 13 jogos e 14 desarmes, pouco mais de um por jogo. Já Dodi soma 25 desarmes na temporada, com média de 0,9 por partida.
O quesito em que Dodi mais se destaca em relação aos companheiros é a precisão nos passes. Com 88,4%, ele lidera o time nesse fundamento, à frente de Cuéllar (86,8%), Villasanti (82,7%) e Camilo (82%).
Em dado do momento do debate, quando Bagé afirmou que Dodi nunca foi responsável por mudar um time, Thaigor Janke disse que “em 95, o Luís Carlos Goiano também não tinha sido (responsável por mudar algum time)”, se referindo ao volante campeão da Libertadores com o Imortal em 1995.
A afirmação de Janke revoltou Bagé e Leonardo Meneghetti. “Não faça isso, Luís Carlos Goiano está entre os maiores jogadores que vestiram a camisa do Grêmio”, argumentou Bagé. Meneghetti disse que é “digno de sair algemado” comparar o Dodi com Goiano.
Ainda para defender que Dodi é um bom jogador para o Grêmio, Thaigor comparou o meio-campo do Grêmio com Gabriel, do Red Bull Bragantino, e Nonato, do Fluminense, equipes que estão acima da equipe de Porto Alegre na tabela do Brasileirão.
